Brenda L. Frie, EdD, OTR/L, CHT
Memoirist
Brenda Lee Frie founded Words of Wisdom Memoirs, LLC. in 2018 with a mission to value and preserve the heart, soul, and voice of life through creation of treasured family heirloom books. Brenda received trained in memoir writing by Mary O'Brien-Tyrrell, owner of Memoir, INC.
Brenda has a Doctorate of Higher Education Administration from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University. Her healthcare background as an occupational therapist provides an understanding of the unique needs and concerns of older adults. Her past work in the Graduate Occupational Therapy Program at St. Catherine University helped refine her skills in qualitative interviewing, historical research, and memoir writing.
Brenda is an educator, qualitative researcher, writer, therapist, and mother of four with a life-long interest in aging, family history, and genealogy.
Gabriel Kwan,

Gabriel Kwan is an editor for Words of Wisdom Memoirs.
Gabriel has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Hong Kong, where he grew up. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University, majoring in English Creative Writing, and minoring in French and Philosophy. His work as a radio journalist for Minnesota Public Radio from 2018-2019, helped sharpen the quality and accuracy of his editing skills, while preserving each writer's unique voice.

Maria T. Kwan

Maria Theresa Kwan joined Words of Wisdom Memoirs in 2018.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University, majoring in English Secondary Education, with a minor in Music. Over the past five years she has taught English in the Sauk Rapids-Rice and North St. Paul, Maplewood Oakdale School Districts in Minnesota and at St. Paul's College in Hong Kong.
